The Bench Marks: A User's Guide

Published to help people and organisations use the Bench Marks as a tool for assessing and reporting on company behaviour, the Guide was first presented at ECCR's Workshop on Churches, Civil Society, Multinational Companies and Corporate Responsibility in Central and Eastern Europe, in Prague, Czech Republic, in October 2006.

The 20-page Guide focuses on:

  • the Bench Marks approach
  • Bench Marks themes and stakeholder groups
  • linking between 'host' and 'home' country communities, faith groups and organisations
  • how to develop a framework for research, measurement and action
  • measuring company performance
  • engaging with companies to effect change
  • developing an ethical investment policy
  • sources of further information.
